India's first banking robot Lakshmi was launched by the Kumbakonam-based City Union Bank (CUB) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
The artificial intelligence powered robot will be the first on-site bank helper.
Lakshmi, which took more than six months to develop, can answer intelligently on more than 125 subjects.
